2. Information we receive
When you contact us
The contact form on this website does not send your details to us or store them on our website. When you press "Send enquiry", the website opens your own email app with a message already written, and nothing is sent until you send that email yourself. The same applies if you email us directly.
Through that email we receive the details you choose to include, typically your name, email address, business name or website, the services you are interested in and your message, along with anything else in the email itself.
When you visit the website
Our hosting provider processes technical information that is needed to deliver the website and keep it secure, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time of the request. This is recorded in standard server logs.
We do not use analytics, advertising, tracking pixels or social media plugins, and the website does not place cookies on your device. See our Cookie Policy.
3. How we use it, and why we are allowed to
- Replying to your enquiry and discussing a possible project. We rely on the steps you ask us to take before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) and on our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries (Article 6(1)(f)).
- Delivering and securing the website. We rely on our legitimate interest in operating a working, secure website (Article 6(1)(f)).
- Keeping business records if we work together. We rely on our legal obligations, for example tax and accounting rules (Article 6(1)(c)).
Getting in touch does not sign you up to marketing. We do not send newsletters or promotional emails based on an enquiry, and we do not sell personal information.
4. Who may receive it
- Our hosting provider, Hostinger, which hosts and delivers this website and processes the server log information described above.
- Our email service provider, which hosts the contact@visiomethod.com mailbox where your enquiry arrives.
- Professional advisers, such as an accountant, where needed for running the business.
- Authorities, where we are required to share information by law.
5. International transfers
Some service providers may process information outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards recognised under the GDPR, such as an adequacy decision by the European Commission or Standard Contractual Clauses.
6. How long we keep it
We keep enquiry emails for as long as we need them to respond and follow up. Enquiries that do not lead to a project are deleted within two years. If we work together, project correspondence and records are kept for as long as needed for the project and to meet legal and tax obligations. Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for a limited period under its own retention settings.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- ask us to delete your information;
- ask us to restrict how we use it, or object to our use of it based on legitimate interests;
- receive information you gave us in a portable format, where applicable.
To use any of these rights, email contact@visiomethod.com. We will reply within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Data Protection Commission in Ireland, at www.dataprotection.ie.
8. Security
The website is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection. We take reasonable steps to protect the information we receive, but no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.
9. Changes to this policy
We will update this policy if the website, our services or the providers we use change. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
